empties #1

Hey guys!

I'm so excited to do my first ever empties post! I love reading and watching these - what could be more fascinating than going through a beauty lovers trash? Anything? Didn't think so.

These posts are pretty self explanatory - I collect whatever I have finished and bust it out here on my blog, complete with pictures, mini reviews and if I would repurchase the product or not. I do own a lot of makeup, but contrary to popular belief, I rarely finish products because I am too busy moving on to the next thing. What can I say, I get bored easily.. New makeup and skincare excites me. But these products have been collected since February, and I did forget to save some products so this isn't everything.

I'm going to set this out like my favourites posts, and split them into skincare items and beauty products. Like I said, there isn't too too much, but I still managed to go through a fair amount of products to share with you.

Keep reading to see what products made it into my first ever empties post!

SKINCARE

Products pictured (l-r): Vaseline Cocoa Moisturising Spray, L'Oreal Luminosity Code Serum, Sukin Rose Hip Oil, Nivea Regenerating Night Cream, Pearl Drops Glam Tooth Polish & L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream

Vaseline Cocoa Moisturising Spray
I have gone through more than two of these since February (more like 6 or 7), but I only remembered to put these ones aside. I do really like this stuff, but unfortunately I go through it way too quickly to justify paying almost $10 for it. I have one bottle left, and then I'll be going back to my normal Vaseline Cocoa Moisturiser. This is available from Priceline and other retailers that stock Vaseline products for $9.99.

L'Oreal Luminosity Code Serum
I really like this - I use it in the day time underneath my moisturiser, and it just adds some extra hydration and makes me look more awake. I brought two of these at once, so I am currently using the same serum. However, I am going to try something else once that one has finished, just because I feel like I need to broaden my horizons. I have my eye on the Indeed Labs Hydrolon.. This is available in Priceline, as well as other L'Oreal stockists, for $35.99.

Sukin Rose Hip Oil
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this oil. This is a holy grail for me, and I'll always repurchase it (I'm already using another bottle..). I use this under my night time moisturiser and I wake up with glowing, radiant and my skin looks plump (in a good way)! Sukin products are completely organic, and I use a lot of their products in my skincare routine. Definitely a favourite, and so affordable for the quality you receive. You can find Sukin in Priceline, and their 25mL bottle (which lasts FOREVER) retails for $19.99.

Nivea Regenerating Night Cream
I do like this, but I won't be repurchasing (I'm now using the Sukin Night Moisturiser). I
mean, it works well and everything. It just doesn't wow me. So, I've moved on. it's quite heavy feeling, and greasy - it also doesn't sink into my skin for about half an hour. You can find this at Priceline, and other Nivea retailers, for $12.99.

Pearl Drops Glam Tooth Polish
I featured this here in my March Favourites, if you want to see more on this product. You guys, seriously, I have tried the Colgate stuff and every other 'whitening' toothpaste there is - this is the only one that has worked and it's literally half the price. I didn't repurchase this exact one, but I did repurchase another Pearl Drops Intensive Whitening version. My teeth have never felt so clean, and the fact that they are gradually whitening my teeth (and I have seen the results!), is just amazing. You can find this here at Priceline for $8.99.

L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream
I use this eye cream during the day, just to keep my eye area hydrated because my eye area does tend to dry up very easily. I do like this, it's super light and soaks in instantly, and the best part, it doesn't ball up when I put concealer over the top which is what has happened with other eye creams. I did repurchase this, and I'm currently halfway through it  at the moment. For some reason, I can't find this stocked anywhere (hopefully it's not discontinued..), but it is available on eBay for anywhere between $25-30.

BEAUTY

Products pictured (l-r): e.l.f Mineral Mist, Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara, Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Primer, Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, Hurraw Chocolate Lip Balm, Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner & Revlon Colourstay Brow Pencil (not pictured)

e.l.f Mineral Mist Setting Spray
I didn't like this. I won't lie. It's better than the other e.l.f Makeup Setting Spray, but not by much. It doesn't really do anything other than wet my face. I much prefer my NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray, so I will be sticking to that for a while. I can't find it on their online site, but this is available from Kmart from anywhere between $8-12.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara
This isn't finished, but it's had enough. You know how mascaras just get to that point? Yep, it's way past it. I did have a back up luckily, so I haven't had to repurchase yet. I really love this mascara, its lengthening and volumising, and considering they're only $3 each ummm.. Yep, so worth it. Would definitely recommend you pick a tube up if you haven't tried it yet! This isn't readily available in Australian stores, but you can buy it off Beauty Joint for $3.59 each.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Primer
The fact that I have two bottles of this empty should tell you something - this is for sure the best primer I have ever tried. It's the BEST primer for those who love their skin to look luminous and hydrated. Plus, it blends like a dream. I just adore Bourjois products, honestly they're such fantastic quality. I haven't repurchased yet, as I am trying to go through my primers before I purchase another (I'll see how long that lasts..), but you can bet that I will be. You can find this in Priceline for $21.

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
This is another mascara that isn't quite finished - but it's time for it to leave me unfortunately. I love love love this mascara, because it gives such a natural yet defined look to my lashes. I'll definitely be repurchasing, but again it won't be for a while - I have so many mascaras open at the moment so I should be responsible and use them first lest they get thrown out before they're finished like this one. You can find this mascara here, and in other Max Factor stockists for around $24.95.

Hurraw Chocolate Lip Balm
I went through this really quickly - this stuff just smelled so good I needed to use it constantly. I have a quick post on the Hurraw brand here, if you want to read more about them and their products, and some more information on the balms here. I love them, for the record. They are really moisturising and they smell really good. I won't be repurchasing for a while though, because I still have six separate tubes, plus a million other brands to go through. You can find them here for $ .

Maybelline Master Precise Liner
This is the only liquid liner I can use - it's super easy to use as the nib is really fine and easy to manoeuvre. Unfortunately, this has dried up so it doesn't really distribute colour anymore, but luckily I had a back up. Of course I'll repurchase it! It's really affordable, plus being easy to use makes it a winner in my book. You can find this here at Priceline for $9.95.

Revlon Colourstay Eyebrow Pencil (not pictured)
This is a more recent empty, which is why it isn't pictured. I am so sad this is out! It's so easy to use, literally it cuts the time in half doing my brows in the morning. I will be repurchasing, but I want to make a dent in my NYX Eyebrow Cake first before I repurchase it. It is a little more expensive, so I might wait until a retailer has a good sale and purchase it then. You can find it here at Priceline for $21.95.

That's it for my first ever empties post! Do you enjoy reading/watching these posts as much as I do?

Until next time...
