Hey guys!

Today post will be the Lip Product Addict Tag - I have wanted ti do this tag since I saw Shaaanxo do it on her Youtube channel, and ever so kind Serafina from Serafina's Stylish Sundays tagged me in her post, and I have finally got around to doing it!

Now, apart from foundation, the one other make up product that I am guilty of hoarding is lip products - I love me some lipstick, lip balm, lip gloss, lip tar etc etc. I am a particular fan of pinks and nudes, but really I'll try anything once. This tag actually had to make me think on some questions, I have so many that I love and adore that its super  hard to narrow it down at times. But, I did for the blog post (not the vine), and here are my answers!

1. Favourite Lip Balm/Treatment

If you couldn't tell from the picture, of course I had to choose two. These are my teo favourites for two seperate uses. My Lucas Paw Paw Ointment (left) is 100% my saviour for if my lips are beyond repair from any other lip balm - I'm talking cracks, sores, dryness etc, you name it, this will help soothe it. And, of course, my Chapstick in the Cake Batter flavour takes the cake (#seewhatididthere) of all my lip balms. Chapstick is hands down one of my favourite brands for lip balms, and this flavour is just the bomb.com, and I'll forever be using it.

2. Best Eye Catching Red

I don't wear reds regularly, and as a result, I don't actually own many. But of all of them, MAC's Ruby Woo is definitely my favourite. It's blue based, so it doesn't make my teeth look orange, and its a gorgoues mid tone red that isn't too dark, or too light, so it goes with a lot of looks. I should also mention that it's a matte formula, so this baby does not budge!

3. Favourite Luxury/Drugstore Lipstick

It should come as no surprise that the YSL Rouge Volupte in #1 is my favourite luxury lipstick, and quite possibly my favourite lipstick of all time. No lipstick will ever beat this formula, and the colour is this beautiful nude baby pink - right up my alley! My favourite drugstore lipstick goes to the Maybelline Colour Whisper in Lust for Blush, my most used lipstick of all. Such an easy everyday pink, and also a super close dupe for MAC Creme Cup as well.

4. Favourite MAC Lipstick

I just want to point out that this is like asking a mother to choose her favourite child - there is just no way. I love all my MAC babies, but of all of them, MAC's Syrup is probably my most worn. Its just an easy mauve pink that is my MLBB easy.

5. Most Disappointing Lipstick

Leaving my feelings of the company out of this, I was just really disappointed with this lipstick. And not only this shade, but this is probably the one that really got me. I just expected so much more out of it because I heard so many great things about it. The colour is sort of coral, creamyish and smells like an off MAC lipstick. Not only that, but for some reason my lipstick looks like I've thrown it against walls. It sinks into lines on my lips and emphasises any minor dray patches as well. Just really unhappy with it honestly, especially when I'd heard some of my favourite beauty guru's rave about it.

6. Lip Liner - Yay or Nay?

Recently, I've been really into lip liner! I haven't ventured into different colours though, sticking eith nudes and pinks. My favourites are these two pictured: NYX Mauve Lip Liner (bottom) and Chi Chi Lip Liner in It Girl (top). I have especially been loving the NYX one to line my lips almost everyday - its super smooth and creamy, so easy to apply! Plus because of the colour, I can overdraw my lips slightly and it looks completely natural.

7. Best Gloss

I may have only owned this lip gloss for two weeks, but I already know that this is holy grail, I'll-forever-repurchase status. Its Whitening Lightning's Lip Gloss in Butter Cream. Its a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous baby pink, and it is just perfect for every single look in the world of looks. I've been pairing it with the NYX liner I mentioned above nearly every single day, and its most perfect everyday lip colour. Just in love with this lipgloss, and I don't think that will ever change.

8. Something Extra

I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the Too Faced Lip Injection Colour Bombs (I have a full review here), because they are amazing. They give a gorgeous wash of colour while similtaneously plumping your lips, which I love!

the perfect palette tag

Hey guys!

Before I get into todays blog post, you may notice something different about my blog. And, if you don't well.. That's okay too.

I FINALLY have a new header! I'm seriously so happy and in love with it honestly, because I have basically wanted a new one since I changed the theme and layout of my blog, but I was so indecisive about what I wanted. I spoke to my good friend, Joey (also known as annajo on Instagram) and she designed this for me! I'm so grateful, and my blog is finally looking bangin'. Today's blog post was actually supposed to be up last Friday, but honestly, Blogger was not my friend and in the end I decided to give it a break. But, there will be FOUR blog posts this week, and the fourth will be something special with a certain someone, so definitely keep an eye out and watch this space ;)

In case you couldn't tell by the title, today's post will be the perfect palette tag! I have seen this tag going around, but never thought to check it out until I was tagged myself! The gorgeous Erin from The Beauty Box tagged me to do this, and I thought why not? While I love the idea of eyeshadow and palettes, I would be lying if I said it was an everyday thing for me. Because of this, I tend to neglect and forget my palettes, even though I 
love them. I thought this would be great way to remember why I love them, while also showing you guys what I have and what I think of them!

best packaging

Oh, for sure Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette (I have a review here)! Too Faced always have fantastic packaging, but they really went all out with the chocolate theme, to the cocoa scented shadows and the literal chocolate bar shaped palette.

best colour payoff

I would probably have to say my Stila In The Light Palette (I have another review of this here). I just remember swatching this for the first time and being amazed at how well the shadows applied, especially the shimmers! They all swatched like butter and reached full pigmentation on one swipe.

most versatile

Probably my Lorac Pro Palette (can you guess? Yes, I have a review here!). While this is a 

neutral palette, it also has purples, bronzes, reds and pinks - really this is the perfect palette for anyone, it really has enough shadows and versatility to keep even the most intense makeup junkie happy.

best for travelling

I would say my Naked Basics palette, but that decided to break the last time I went travelling. I'd probably have to say my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, just because the packaging clips together so it's so sturdy, and I definitely can't imagine it opening ever.

biggest regret

I don't really regret buying any of my palettes - just because I don't use hardly any of them, they're all beautiful and nice to look at. The only palette I'm a little iffy on is the MUA Undressed Palette, and that's only because it's exactly the same as the Urban Decay 

original Naked Palette - but it'll come in handy if I ever hit pan on the other shades.

best colour names

Again, I think I'll go with the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! All the shades are named are sweets - yum!

least used

Probably all are my least used - or maybe my MAC Archie's Girls Spoiled Rich Palette. I love it, its just not a palette that you break out on the regular, at least not for me.

most used

Definitely my Urban Decay Naked Palette! So easy to use, and versatile and easy for everyday.

most loved

Ummm.. I'd say it's a tie between my Lorac Pro Palette and my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I love them both so much!

desert island

To be perfectly honest, if I am headed to a desert island, I wouldn't be taking any of my 

makeup! But, in the spirit, I would probably take my MUA palettes - same as Erin. Because they are super cheap, they cost nothing to replace so, it wouldn't be a huge loss if they did break.

would you rather? beauty blogger tag!

Hey guys!

For my last post this week,  I thought that I would do something fun and simple! My blogger BFF Dani from laceandlovexo tagged me in this Would You Rather - Beauty Blogger edition tag! If you haven't seen her blog or followed her yet, you need to go and do that! Her blog is amazing and she is super funny and kind!

Without further adieu, here is the tag!

1. Would you rather be able to apply eyeliner perfectly or be able to contour like Kim Kardashian?

Oh, Kim K contouring for sure - I don't really have prominent cheekbones, so I have to work extra hard to really make it look like I do. Kim's is always on point - if I had that skill, guuuuuurl I would be unstoppable!

2. Would you rather wear foundation which is two shades lighter or two shades darker?

Two shades lighter - I can always overload on bronzer and make it look like it matches!

3. Would you rather wear no lipstick ever again or no eyeliner ever again?

Uuuum thats hard - probably eyeliner, it's not something that I use everyday anyway. Whereas, my lipstick collection is something I can't live without!

4. Would you rather give up your foundation or your mascara?

Neither - I don't like this question, these are two of my essential items!

5. Would you rather apply your makeup yourself with no mirror whilst on a bumpy car journey or ask a 5 year old child to do it?

By myself for sure! I could do a better job than asking a poor five year old child to do it - and it would turn out at least half decent!

6. Would you rather wear exactly the same makeup every single day for the rest of your life or drastically change your makeup every single day for the rest of your life (even if it doesn’t suit you!)?

Same makeup every single day - my everyday makeup doesn't change the majority of the time anyway!

7. Would rather have dodgy brows or have patchy fake tan?

It's actually funny reading this question and realising how much I have changed over the past year or so. If you had asked me then, I would have said dodgy brows for sure - I was never too bothered with them, they were way too thin and I never really groomed then aside from going to the beautician every now and again. But now, I do them myself and they look so much better, and I've realised how much filling them in and shaping them can really change my look and pull it all together, so I would have to choose patchy fake tan.. I can always cover that up!

8. Would you rather have perfectly white teeth or have your perfect hairstyle?

Perfect teeth for sure - my teeth are already far from perfect. I've had braces so they are nice and straight, but they're yellow now because of having braces and also because I drink alot of tea and coffee. I would love to have them whitened professionally, but it costs alot of money.. Whereas my hair can always be done quickly!

9. Would you rather wear the same colour nail varnish for the rest of your life or be able to change the colours of your varnish whenever you like but it’s always a little bit smudged?

Different colours - how boring to have just one colour! My nails are always a little smudged anyway.. I forget that they are wet and just go about my days all the time anyway. Too many things to do, not enough time to wait!

10. Would you rather have lots of scented body and perfume products that smell 
amazing to you but to everyone else you smell like pine tree car air freshener or have products that smell average to you but smell incredible to those around you?

Smell amazing to me! You think I wear perfume to impress everyone else? Wearing a nice perfume gives me comfort, and I love picking scents I love regardless of what everyone else thinks. Plus, a pine tree car air freshener isn't that bad! Could be worse.

the beauty scenario tag!

Hey guys!

As I've said before, I loooove doing tags! I find them so personal, and love that you guys get to know more about me just by me answering these questions! I was tagged by the lovely Verity (you can find her blog here!), she has great beauty related posts and is definitely worth checking out!

Scenario 1 - You have to get rid of all of your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drug store foundation, which ones do you keep? 

Oh, that's easy! For high end, I would keep my Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation (click here to read a short review) and for drugstore I would for sure be keeping my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (click here to read my rave review on this foundation!).

Scenario 2 - You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

No, I wouldn't. Honestly, I would feel terrible and it would reflect badly on me. Personally, I would only want to be told if it was a close friend, or my boyfriend, because otherwise I would feel a little humiliated and embarrassed.

Scenario 3 - Your not feeling yourself and need a pick me up, which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

This is hard. I think I would choose MAC Flat Out Fabulous! It's just a beautiful, bright fuchsia pink and it definitely makes me feel better about myself.

Scenario 4 - You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and make-up differently? 

As a teen, I was more into my hair than I was makeup. I don't think I would change it to be perfectly honest, all the bad hair and makeup days were all part of being a teen! You have way too much to focus on then doing your hair or makeup on a daily basis. Besides, I had fun regardless of how I looked ;) and it taught me how to be comfortable and confident in my own skin before I really discovered makeup.

 I love that I got more into makeup in my late teens because I was able to really dedicate time to studying it, and practicing looks. Also, I have the money to really spend it on products that I love, whereas in my teens I would never have been able to afford it.

Scenario 5 - You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott haircut but they hear you wrong and give you a Pixie cut, Do you a) You smile and say thank you, leave and then call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward OR c) Complain to the manager and ask for a refund? 

Lets be honest, I probably wouldn't pay for it. And I would probably be midway to hysterical. But, in saying that, I would try not to be rude about it - unfortunately it's human error, sometimes things are heard wrong or don't go to plan. As well, if I didn't notice that she was clearly going above and beyond what I wanted, shame on me. But I for sure wouldn't pay as it isn't what I asked for or wanted. And then I would find a way to rock the hell out of that pixie cut until it got long enough for extensions :)

Scenario 6 - Your friend surprise you with a 4 day city break and you have one hour to pack, which do it all palette do you pack in your make up bag? 

I don't think I actually own a 'do it all' palette. But, eyeshadow palette wise, Urban Decay Naked Palette. Will always choose that baby!

Scenario 7 - Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe but your beauty stash has been raided...what is the product you really hope is safe?

One individual product? Are you kidding me! Do you know how much money, time and effort has gone into my beauty stash?! Um, if I really have to choose.. Probably my YSL lipsticks. I would be absolutely devastated if something happened to them. Plus, they cost a lot to replace.

Scenario 8 - Your friend borrows your make up and returns it in an awful condition do you a) just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to re purchase it or c) do the same to one of their's.

Probably just ask them to be more careful in the future - it'd have to be a really dang good friend for me to loan it to them in the first place anyway!

the lipstick tag

Hey guys!

Today's post will be the lipstick tag! I love tags, they are so much fun to do, and I was tagged to do this by the lovely Kirsty from Lipstick Addict! You can find her blog here, if you haven't found her already! She is also featured in my beauty blogs I love page! Definitely go check her blog out if you haven't already, its dedicated to all things lipstick and other beauty topics. And tip of the iceberg, she's also from Sydney, Australia :) 

1. How many lipsticks do you own?

Oh lord.. I don't even know. I'd say at least 70-80, not including lip glosses or crayon lipsticks. Basically, more than I'll ever need!

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?

The first lipstick I ever owned myself (not stealing from my mums collection) was MAC's Lustering lipstick! It was given to me as a gift :)

3. What is your favourite lipstick brand?

Thats a toughie.. I would say MAC because they just have something for everyone, and so many different formulas.. But my favourite ever lipsticks are the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, and they are on another level amazing. So, probably YSL!

4. What is your most worn lipstick?

Maybelline's Colour Whisper in Lust for Blush. I also have a back up for when it actually does run out..

5. What is your favourite finish?

Ooooh.. Probably the lustre finishes by MAC.

6. What was the last lipstick you brought?

The last lipstick I went in store to buy was Sportsgirls Love Bite. But I also ordered the Tarte Amazonian Butter lipstick in Golden Pink last week, so I guess I also brought that last as well.

7. How many lip products do you have in your bag? (Including balms and glosses)

I have an EOS lip balm, my Nivea lip balm and I honestly carry whatever lipstick I am currently wearing for the day, plus one or two back ups for if I change my mind. My make up bag usually carries only the essential products that are on my face that day, I chop and change the products all the time.

8. What is your favourite red lip colour?

The one that I last brought, Sportsgirls Love Bite! I only own that and MAC's Ruby Woo, but I love how this is a sheer, toned down berry type red.

9. How do you store you lipsticks?

Well, my favourites that I wear on a frequent basis are with my main collection on top of my drawers in a container that used to be part of a candle. Then my crayon lipsticks are in their own holder, which is a pencil holder I brought from the Reject Shop. The rest are stored in my drawers. My high end lipsticks and some MAC lipsticks are in a lipstick holder I brought from Priceline, and then the rest are sorted into two containers - one being lipstick tubes and the other glosses and liquid lipsticks :)

10. What lipsticks are you currently lusting after?

Oh wow. Um.. MAC's Russian Red and Candy Yum Yum.

All the YSL Rouge Volutpe lipsticks, but in particular #2 and #13. But really, every single YSL lippie.

Maybelline The Buffs Collection.

L'Oreal Le Lacque and Le Matte crayon lipsticks.

Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive.

So many more, too many to mention. But these are on my immediate list!
