review: garnier perfect blur

Hi lovelies!

One of todays posts is a quick review of a relatively new product to Australia for you on the Garnier Perfect Blur!

This product is pretty new, released in here in December last year. To be honest, when it was released I had heard absolutely nothing about it. I had heard of the L'Oreal Miracle Blur, however, and I assumed that this was Garniers answer to it.

Garniers website states that this product is meant to take "5 seconds to apply for a younger and more perfect looking skin." It claims to reduce the appearance of pores, wrinkles, imperfection and shine. From what I understood, it was meant to be used as a primer underneath your foundation, but I have read from other reviews online that this can also be used on top of your make up to blur the imperfections.

I was, like with nearly every other product, intrigued. I am not someone who has overly large pores, wrinkles or oily skin, so I wasn't exactly sure what this could do for my appearance. I'm glad to report that I was pleasantly surprised.

This product has quite a mousse-like texture, with a silicon-y feel when it is applied to the skin. It does have a pink colour, but that does disappear once it is completely rubbed into my skin.

While I don't have large pores, I do have blackheads on my nose that can be a bit of an issue for me. The first thing I noticed once this had sunk into my skin was that they were almost completely gone, and definitely not noticeable as they normally are. The other thing I noticed was that my skin felt so smooth. Once I applied my foundation over the top, it definitely helped it to go on smoother and allowed it to blend really easily. I haven't tried putting it over my foundation, but I feel like it works so well under my foundation as a primer that I don't really need to try that method.

As I have so many other primers on the go at any one time, I have taken to wearing this on the days when I do not feel like wearing anything else on my face but still want my skin to look a little more flawless than usual.

I think that this product works. But, as I do not really have problematic skin with the issues that this product claims to 'blur', maybe I am not one to talk. However, other reviews I have read are quite favourable of this product. This retails for $16.99AU, and is worth a try if you are looking to try something a little different with your make up routine.
